Worship Pastor Full Time

Broadview’s Worship Pastor is a full-time combination position (approximately 40 hours per week) designed to align the giftedness of the individual with the needs of the church. This role integrates primary leadership of engaging, Christ-centered worship services with additional ministry oversight in one or more areas — such as administration, discipleship, young adults, senior adults, or another focus — tailored to the candidate’s strengths and the church’s current priorities. This man will partner closely with our other Pastors to plan and lead worship that leads people to offer themselves to God, while also providing pastoral leadership in his assigned secondary area(s). The position emphasizes humble servant leadership, musical excellence balanced with accessibility, the ability to lead a small team of volunteers, and a willingness to become a member of the church and serve as one of the church’s Pastors/Elders.

Accountable To: Pastors/Elders and the Gathered Congregation
Position: Full-time pastoral staff (approx. 40 hours/week)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
May Be Filled By: A Spirit-filled man called by God to serve as a Pastor, with gifts suited to worship leadership and an additional ministry focus

Worship Leadership (Primary Focus)

• Lead Sunday morning worship services (and occasional evening or special events) in an engaging, Christ-centered manner.
• Plan biblically-based and theologically-sound worship sets in coordination with preaching themes; lead mid-week rehearsals with the volunteer Worship Team.
• Oversee musical and technological equipment for worship, ensuring excellence and accessibility.
• Recruit, train, and spiritually shepherd the worship team volunteers.

Secondary Ministry Oversight & General Pastoral Duties

• Provide pastoral leadership in one or more assigned areas (e.g., administration, discipleship/Christian education, young adults, or senior adults).
• Partner with the other Pastors in church-wide ministry, prayer, and leadership; participate in Pastor/Elder meetings.
• Provide pastoral care as needed and serve as one of the church’s Pastors (including becoming a church member).
• Other duties as assigned to support the mission of Broadview Baptist Church.
