Job Posting Guidelines

SBC Jobs exists to help connect churches and ministry organizations with individuals seeking ministry opportunities. These guidelines are intended to help employers submit clear, accurate, and appropriate listings that serve both churches and job seekers well.

1. Purpose of SBC Jobs

SBC Jobs is designed to connect churches and ministry organizations with individuals seeking ministry opportunities. The goal of the platform is to strengthen local churches by helping churches and ministry leaders find one another more effectively.

2. Types of Positions Accepted

SBC Jobs is intended for ministry-related positions within churches and ministry organizations. Examples include pastoral roles, worship and music positions, student and children’s ministry roles, administrative positions, and other church staff opportunities. Listings that are not ministry-related may be declined.

3. Information to Include in Your Listing

To help job seekers understand the position, each listing should clearly include the church or organization name, location, position title, a brief description of the church or ministry, key responsibilities, qualifications or experience required, and clear instructions for applying. Listings with complete and accurate information are more likely to receive qualified applicants.

4. Accuracy of Listings

Organizations submitting listings are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate, current, and truthful. SBC Jobs does not independently verify job listings and is not responsible for the hiring practices of churches or ministry organizations.

5. Alignment with SBC Mission

SBC Jobs serves churches and ministry organizations connected to the Southern Baptist Convention. SBC Jobs reserves the right to decline or remove listings that are inconsistent with the mission, beliefs, or cooperative work of the Southern Baptist Convention.

6. Listing Approval

All job listings may be reviewed prior to publication. SBC Jobs reserves the right to edit, approve, decline, or remove listings at its discretion.

7. Prohibited Listings

The following types of listings are not permitted on SBC Jobs:

  • Non-ministry employment opportunities
  • Spam or promotional content
  • Misleading or fraudulent postings
  • Listings that violate applicable laws or regulations
  • Listings that are inconsistent with the mission or purpose of the platform

8. Listing Duration

Job listings remain active for the duration selected during submission. Once the listing period expires, the listing will automatically be removed unless renewed.
