Children’s Ministry Director Part Time

The Children’s Ministry Director provides vision, leadership, and oversight for all ministries serving children from birth through 5th Grade at Anderson Mill Baptist Church. One of our core values is investing in families, and we believe the Children’s Ministry Director is key in connecting with and ministering to families. The Children’s Ministry Director will work in conjunction with the Pastoral Staff in planning and ministering to children and their families. Develop a clearly defined vision and strategy for discipleship within the Children’s Ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of Anderson Mill Baptist Church. Lead, recruit, train, and develop volunteers for the Children’s Ministry. Develop and implement a strategy for whole-family discipleship; working with families to equip and empower parents/families to disciple their children. Provide oversight and planning for all aspects of Children’s Ministry programming, including: Sunday morning Children’s Worship Wednesday Night programming VBS Specialized Classes Outreach events – working with church staff to plan and coordinate Family events/programming Curriculum selection/development for all programming Provide oversight to the Children’s Ministry budget and help develop the budgetary needs for upcoming years. Maintain classroom schedules, supplies, and volunteer rotations. Work as a team player with the rest of the ministerial and support staff. Values: 1. People first 2. Positivity  3. Creativity 4. Flexibility Qualifications: ·      A mature Christian ·      Candidate must be able to communicate effectively with children of various ages, as well as their parents. ·      Candidate must become a member of Anderson Mill Baptist Church as a part of the onboarding process, affirming the statement of faith. ·      Candidate must pass a background check.
