Our church has a long history and an exciting future. We are a church that reaches out to our community with a loving heart in many ways. We are seeking a pastoral shepherd-leader to help us grow spiritually and reach the lost.

The pastor shall serve as the chief under-shepherd and overseer of this local church, feeding, leading, and nurturing the flock. The pastor’s primary responsibilities are to communicate God’s Word, minister to the spiritual needs of the congregation, and provide biblical leadership for the church.

Special Requirements:
1. Converted and divinely called to pastoral ministry.
2. Licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel who adheres to the official statement of faith adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.
3. Spiritual maturity, personal integrity, and Christlike character.
4. Commitment to sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and encouraging spiritual growth.
5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build healthy relationships.
6. Effective pulpit communication that leads, inspires, and motivates the congregation.
7. Genuine love for and commitment to the fellowship of our church and community.
8. Compassion and empathy for the needs and concerns of the congregation.

Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and vision for the church, including ministry planning, church growth, and organizational effectiveness.
2. Proclaim the Word of God through regular pulpit ministry and plan and conduct worship services.
3. Oversee pastoral staff and provide direction for the ministries and programs of the church.
4. Motivate, equip, and nurture the congregation through personal example, preaching and teaching God’s Word, and spiritual counsel.
5. Devote significant time to prayer and Bible study.
6. Provide pastoral care and visitation to prospective members, the grieving, hospitalized, homebound, and those in nursing care.
7. Provide biblical counseling and officiate weddings and funerals.
8. Provide leadership in church discipline and conflict resolution, seeking reconciliation and promoting unity.
9. Participate in evangelism through preaching and invitations during worship, revival and special services, and other outreach efforts.
10. Manage personal finances with integrity and without bringing reproach upon the church.
11. Moderate church business meetings when possible.
12. Work cooperatively with church committees in carrying out their responsibilities.
13. Lead the church in observance of its ordinances.
14. Cooperate with denominational leaders and represent the church in denominational and civic matters.
15. Prioritize family responsibilities and model biblical integrity, faithfulness, and Christian character in family life.
