Barwick Baptist Church, a vibrant and growing Southern Baptist church located in Barwick, GA, is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Youth Pastor to lead our student ministry (grades 6-12) and organize our children’s ministry (4 years old – 5th grade) program. Position Summary:

The Youth Pastor will provide spiritual leadership and direction to our student ministry, fostering a welcoming and engaging environment where students can grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and serve the Lord. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive youth and children’s ministry program that aligns with the church’s vision and values.

Responsibilities:

Spiritual Leadership:

•     Develop and deliver biblically sound and relevant teaching for weekly youth services, small groups, and special events.

•     Disciple and mentor students, encouraging them in their spiritual growth and development.

•     Provide pastoral care and counseling to students and their families.

•     Lead students in worship and prayer.

Program Development and Implementation:

•     Plan, organize, and execute weekly youth services, small groups, retreats, mission trips, and other events.

•     Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that addresses the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of students.

•     Evaluate the effectiveness of youth ministry programs and make necessary adjustments.

•     Create a welcoming environment for all youth.

•     plan and organize children’s ministry program that is taught by other members of the church.

Team Building and Leadership:

•     Recruit, train, and equip adult volunteers to serve in the youth ministry.

•     Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and church leadership.

•     Lead and participate in youth ministry team meetings.

•     Communicate effectively with students, parents, and church staff.

Administrative Responsibilities:

•     Manage the youth ministry budget.

•     Maintain accurate records of student attendance and participation.

•     Utilize social media and other communication tools to promote youth ministry events and activities.

•     Ensure compliance with all church policies and procedures.

Community Engagement:

•     Reach out to unchurched youth within the community.

•     Organize outreach events and activities.

•     Partner with local schools and organizations to serve the community.

Qualifications:

•     A growing and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

•     Strong commitment to the doctrines and practices of the Southern Baptist Convention.

•     A bachelor’s degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred).

•     Prefer candidate with experience in youth ministry.

•     Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate effectively with students.

•     Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

•     Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers.

•     Proficiency in using technology and social media. • A heart for reaching and discipling students

•     Must pass a background check.

Salary:

Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
