Who We Are:
Baugh Chapel Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located in Austin, Arkansas. We are prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd our congregation and grow our church. The role is bi-vocational for now with the intent to be full-time as the church grows. We dedicate ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ individually committed to sharing the good news of salvation to the lost.

We currently have about 35 weekly attendees, but had over 50 regularly attending before the COVID pandemic.

What we believe:
We believe the Holy Bible is the inerrant inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the current doctrinal statement of the “Baptist Faith and Message 2000” of the Southern Baptist Convention.

We are a KJV-only church and are seeking a leader that will use the King James Version of the Bible for his teaching and preaching.

Role and Responsibilities:
The Lead Pastor is responsible for leading the church in functioning as a New Testament church. Key responsibilities include:

• Preaching and teaching the congregation
• Shepherding the flock God has entrusted him
• Leading the congregation, the organizations, and the church staff in performing their respective tasks
• Creating and implementing a plan for enhanced community outreach and church growth
• Be committed to serving regularly with the church in various ways

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Fulfills the biblical qualifications for elder found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9
• Has an accredited university or seminary degree
• Has strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:
Masters of Divinity degree from an accredited university or seminary

Salary:
$550/week
