Job Summary:
Birchwood Baptist Church of Birchwood, TN is looking for a Youth Leader/Children’s Ministry Director. Responsibilities will include developing, leading, and overseeing the spiritual growth and discipleship of children and youth within the church. Additionally, this role includes planning and executing programs, fostering a safe and engaging environment, and recruiting and equipping volunteers to mentor young believers in their faith journey. Key Responsibilities:
● Establishing and fostering relationships with church and community families
● Organizing trips, retreats, and fundraisers
● Recruiting, supporting and scheduling volunteers
● Planning and delivering multiple weekly youth lessons
● Collaborate with key volunteers on children’s ministry curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:
● Must be a practicing follower of Christ and adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
● Must have strong leadership skills
● Must be well-organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills
● Must have the ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored for youth.

Work Schedule & Compensation:
● Gross annual salary: $13,000.00
● Your on-site schedule is expected, but not limited to supporting the key responsibilities for thefollowing services and ministries:
o Sunday services (estimated minimum of 4.5 hours)
o Wednesday evening youth and children’s programs (estimated minimum of 2.5 hours)
o Vacation Bible School support (hours vary)

● Other planning may be done in a remote capacity to ensure proper flow of duties and services.
