Senior Pastor Full Time

Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, MS is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to shepherd our congregation into the next chapter of our church’s life and ministry. BHBC was established in 1888, and our purpose, based directly on Colossians 1:28, is “To proclaim Christ, and Him crucified, to all people, warning and teaching them in all wisdom, to bring each one into God’s presence, as a mature individual in union with Christ, for God’s Glory.”

BHBC averages attendance of approximately 220 for Sunday morning worship and has ministries for all ages and stages of life. We are missions-minded and have a heart for community outreach and giving. We are deeply committed to walking with one another in faith through discipleship. Florence is a growing community with convenient access to the amenities of the Jackson metro area. Our church’s location allows us to draw members from Florence and other surrounding communities.

We are seeking a pastor who is a strong teacher of biblical doctrine, can connect well with our multigenerational congregation, and has a clear vision for loving and leading our church into the future as we carry out the work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Candidates must affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
