Bi-vocational Pastor Part Time

Looking for a Part-Time Pastor for Brooklyn Evangelical Church (BEC) to shepherd, care for and grow this house of God, where that pastor would also grow from the part-time pastor to our full-time pastor.  We are a church of 37 members who love the Lord and one another. 

The Pastor interested in this position should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Divinity or Biblical teachings preferred. He should have at least 3 years of experience in the Pastoral ministry; including other ministry experience besides pastoring.

The position entails conducting Sunday morning, and midweek Prayer service and other pastoral duties.

Qualities that we are looking for in our new pastor:

▪ A man that is dedicated to prayer and can model and mentor what a prayer life looks like.

 ▪ A heart for pastoral care and shepherding, with a genuine love for people and a desire to build meaningful relationships within the church family and with lost people

▪ A student of God’s word who has effective communication skills, both in preaching and interpersonal interactions, with the ability to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

▪ Willingness to work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers, fostering a spirit of unity and teamwork in ministry efforts.

▪ Meet the unique needs and challenges of a small church setting, with a willingness to embrace the joys and opportunities that come with serving in a close-knit community.

Responsibilities of our new pastor:

▪ Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to the congregation, including preaching regularly, teaching, and facilitating opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship.

▪ Cultivate a culture of love, grace, and unity within the church body, nurturing a sense of belonging and mutual support among members.

▪ Offer pastoral care and support to individuals and families in times of joy, sorrow, and transition, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and a listening ear.

▪ Engage actively in outreach and evangelism efforts, both within the church community and in the surrounding area, seeking to share the love of Christ and invite others into relationship with Him.
