Worship Pastor Full Time

Burkemont Baptist Church in Morganton, NC is searching for a full-time Minister of Music. This man will serve alongside our pastoral team. This man will be theologically conservative who believes the Bible to be the authoritative, inerrant, infallible, all sufficient Word of God. He believes that the Bible is inspired by the Lord God. He will shepherd the music ministry based on the Word of God. He will believe in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Education/Experience/Essential Functions:

• Seminary is preferred with 3-5 years of experience shepherding multiple choirs (adult, preschool, children, student, etc), orchestra, and the congregation in the worship of the One, True, Living God.
• Responsible for all music in all services including special seasonal music. Selects music and media which is theologically and doctrinally sound which honors the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Proficient music reader including open score and operating relevant technology.
• Skilled in choral, vocal, instrumental, and technical direction of music
• Team player who is willing to assist the other pastors, staff, and volunteers in areas not assigned to the music ministry.
• Participate in visitation of church members and those who need to be saved.
