Minister of Youth/Worship Full Time

Who we are: 

Calallen Baptist Church is a growing church with a great mix of families and a youth group ranging from 20 to 35 students on Wednesday nights. We also have an experienced full praise team and a strong foundation of volunteer support. The person currently serving in this role has faithfully ministered here for over 7 years, and our Senior Pastor has been serving for 8 years. 

Who we are seeking:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, Spirit-led pastor to serve as our Pastor of Student Ministries and Worship. This dual-role position exists to shepherd the next generation and lead our church in Christ-exalting worship. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong pastoral leadership, a heart for discipling students in grades 6-12, and musical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Student Ministry-
Lead weekly student gatherings with relevant teaching, worship, and discipleship.
Plan and execute events, camps, mission opportunities, and outreach efforts.
Build relationships with students and their families, providing spiritual care and guidance.
Recruit and train adult leaders and volunteers for student ministry.
Coordinate with other ministries to ensure integration of students into the life of the church.
Worship Ministry-
Plan and lead weekly worship services in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
Shepherd and develop worship volunteers (musicians, vocalists, audio/visual team).
Select music that is biblically sound, congregationally engaging, and doctrinally aligned with Calallen Baptist Church.
Oversee the worship service order, transitions, and flow.
Equip and mentor youth who are gifted in music and worship leadership.
Maintain and steward equipment and worship spaces.

Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing walk with Him.
A calling to pastoral ministry and alignment with Southern Baptist doctrine.
Experience in student ministry leadership (church, camp, or parachurch).
Ability to teach Scripture clearly and relevantly to students and adults.
Organized, flexible, and able to multitask in a team environment.
Strong vocal and/or instrumental skills with experience leading worship.
Bachelor’s degree required; theological or ministry training preferred.

Accountability:
Reports directly to the Senior Pastor and works in cooperation with church staff and volunteers.
