Worship Leader Part Time

Calhoun Baptist Church is seeking a part time Worship Leader who worships God authentically and is called to teach and lead a congregation into genuine worship. We are located between Taylorsville and Collins in the community of Hot Coffee.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead congregational singing for Sunday morning worship
• Teach the congregation, by word and example, what it means to worship God
• Lead worship personally (vocally and/or on an instrument such as piano or guitar)
• Coordinate special music for holidays and special services (Easter, Christmas, homecoming, etc.)
• Participate in other church functions — business meetings, fellowship dinners, visitation, and special events

Qualifications

• A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ marked by a genuine life of worship
• Agreement with the church’s statement of faith
• Comfortable leading congregational singing solo or with minimal accompaniment
• Basic proficiency on piano, guitar, or another instrument helpful but not required
• Teachable spirit

This is a part time position: Sunday morning required, plus occasional special services and church scheduled events.
