Calvary Baptist Church in Jesup, Georgia, is searching for a full-time Minister/Director of Children. The Minister/Director of Children is responsible for overseeing the Church’s children’s ministries; ensuring a fun, safe, and effective environment where kids can come to know the Lord and His Word. The Minister of Children/Director will help recruit and train volunteers who will touch kids’ lives with God’s love, teach them God’s Word, and provide fellowship with God’s people. This position is a vital part of our ministry team, focusing on the spiritual growth and development of children through programs such as AWANA, Children’s Church, Upward Basketball and Cheerleading, and Sunday School.

Calvary Baptist Church is eighty-five years old, located in Southeast Georgia. She is associated with the Coastal Rivers Baptist Association, the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and the Southern Baptist Convention. She is a conservative body who affirms the BFM of 2000. In 2023, she averaged 425 in Sunday morning attendance. Currently, she has 85 children from birth through fifth grade on her Sunday School rolls.

Passionate love for children, good communicator, personal integrity, organizational skills, team player & team builder, disciplined spiritual habits, and a devoted prayer life.

Additional skills: 

Technical competence in multimedia, social media, and computers.
