About the Role

Calvary Baptist Church of Nacogdoches is seeking a Youth/Student Pastor with a heart for discipleship and leadership to serve middle school, high school, and college students. This position is deeply relational, spiritually focused, and mission-driven. Under the guidance of the Senior Pastor, this role will help cultivate lasting spiritual growth among students while equipping families and volunteers to participate in ministry.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and lead weekly youth and college ministries, Bible studies, retreats, and outreach events.
Foster spiritual growth through discipleship, gospel-centered teaching, and intentional relationships.
Equip and partner with parents in the spiritual development of their students.
Provide pastoral care through biblical counseling, visitation, and crisis support.
Recruit, train, and support adult and student volunteers in leadership roles.
Collaborate with church staff to integrate student ministry into church-wide worship, missions, and service opportunities.
Manage the youth and college ministry budget with integrity and purpose.
Assist the Senior Pastor with preaching, ordinances, and pastoral duties as needed.

Qualifications

A growing, Spirit-led follower of Jesus Christ with a clear calling to student ministry.
Alignment with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000).
Prior experience in youth and/or college ministry leadership.
Strong skills in biblical teaching, communication, and relational ministry.
A shepherd’s heart and a team player’s mindset.
A degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
