About Catalyst Church
Catalyst Church, founded 11 years ago, is a vibrant, growing community with a mission to help people find and follow Jesus. From our humble beginnings, we’ve expanded to a downtown facility and now welcome 250 attendees across two weekend services. We’re passionate about creating environments where people from all walks of life—seasoned believers and spiritual explorers alike—can take bold steps toward Jesus.
The Role: Chief Equipper & Engager
We’re seeking a dynamic Associate Pastor to elevate our church to new heights. This role is the heartbeat of spiritual formation and relational connection, equipping and engaging our diverse community to grow closer to Jesus. You’ll be a visionary leader, a developer of other leaders, and a catalyst for gospel-driven transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Spiritual Formation:
- Develop and oversee discipleship groups and pathways.
- Foster a culture of prayer and spiritual growth.
- Provide pastoral care to support our congregation’s journey.
Champion First Impressions:
- Oversee guest services to create a welcoming environment.
- Drive weekend connection and assimilation strategies to help newcomers belong.
Teach and Inspire: Preach 8–9 times per year as part of our teaching team, delivering compelling messages to guide our congregation.
Shape Our Future: Collaborate with staff to set and execute the church’s vision and direction and take on additional responsibilities as needed to advance our mission as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a passionate, high-capacity leader who thrives in the energy of a church plant and loves the challenge of building something extraordinary from the ground up. You’re not just a doer—you’re a developer who equips others to lead, creates gospel-centered relational environments, and leaves people better than you found them.
You’re a Fit If You:
- Love Church Plants: You’re energized by the joys and challenges of a startup church and have a heart for reaching people far from God.
- Lead Leaders: You excel at training and empowering disciple-makers, environment creators, and leaders while leading by example.
- Build Relationships: You create meaningful connections that leave a lasting gospel impact.
- Organize and Mobilize: You can rally large groups to work toward a shared goal.
- Speak with Confidence: You’re comfortable teaching and guiding large audiences with clarity and conviction.
- Champion Spiritual Formation: You understand what drives spiritual growth, are curious about new approaches, and are never fully satisfied with the status quo.
- Align with StrengthsFinder 2.0© Themes:
Main Themes: Restorative, Maximizer, Empathy, Includer, Learner
Secondary Themes: Developer, Ideation, Consistency
