Pastor of Worship & Discipleship Full Time

Catalyst Church in Woodland, CA is searching for a Pastor of Worship & Discipleship to join our incredible staff team. Catalyst Church was started in 2014 with a deep desire to be an outward-facing, Jesus-centered church and has since become a vibrant expression of gospel vitality in our community.

We are passionately embracing our mission of “helping people find & follow Jesus” and have great expectations for the future. Currently our attendance is approximately 240-250 on Sundays with 2 morning services at our facility which we renovated in 2019 right on Main Street in Downtown Woodland.

Job Detail:
Job Status: Full Time Salaried, Pastoral Exempt
Reports To: Lead Pastor, Matt Van Peursem
Oversees: Discipleship Programs (10 Leaders) & Creative Arts Team (10 Techs & 9 Musicians)

Primary Duties:
• Work closely with the Lead Pastor to create the worship and discipleship cultures we envision for Catalyst.
• As the primary weekend worship leader, create a Christ-centered, presence-driven, meaningful and engaging worship experience for everyone regardless of where they are at in their faith journey.
• As the primary staff member over discipleship, create an network of groups and leaders who regularly lead individuals into a meaningful relationship with Christ and others.
• Pastor, develop, empower and deploy the volunteers within your ministries.
• Participate alongside the staff team to implement the mission and vision of the church.
• Oversee creative storytelling through creative elements in weekend services, video and social media.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Lead Pastor.

• A director of vocalists and musicians who can make the most of any band arrangement.
• An organizer who can administrate multiple teams and responsibilities.

Our Style & Technology:
Catalyst Church has a hope-filled, authentic, and modern style of worship and preaching that is relatable and meaningful for both the churched and unchurched, with an invitational, “come as you are” culture. We currently run on a Behringer X32 and have wireless capability for most instruments, vocals, and monitoring. We use Planning Center for all musical arrangements and service planning.

Our discipleship programs (known to us as Crews) have 10 separate groups meeting throughout the week. The combined number of participants make up just over 40% of our adult weekend attenders. We have a variety of tools and resources that we have created which enable us to rapidly scale our current discipleship systems for significantly greater impact.
