Facility Coordinator Full Time

ActiveThe Facility Coordinator is responsible for the cleanliness, physical maintenance, security, and oversight of the church facility and property.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Facility Coordinator are threefold: 1) supervising and coordinating, 2) recruiting and mobilizing volunteers, and 3) building maintenance and cleaning
Supervising and Coordinating
– Serve as primary contact for service providers and for facility or property questions.
– Coordinate facility maintenance, housekeeping, security, perimeter door locks, grounds, parking, inventory, and purchasing and receiving of maintenance and custodial supplies.
– Ensure contracted labor is in compliance with contractual agreements.
– Maintain the annual facility general operating budget and help develop the facility capital projects budget.
– Recommend improvements and equipment upgrades as needed.
Recruiting and Mobilizing Volunteers
– Recruit, empower, and oversee volunteers for set-up, cleaning, grounds, and maintenance of the facility for regular church work days and special projects.
– Coordinate volunteers for ongoing small maintenance projects.
Building Maintenance and Cleaning
– Inspect church facility on a regular basis; assist in minor repairs to the building and equipment.
– Plan and implement recurring periodic cleaning and painting schedules including interior windows, walls, woodwork, floors, carpets and other areas as well as the exterior of the building (columns, porches, doors, etc.).
– Operate heating and cooling equipment (HVAC and boiler). Ensure proper water level, temperature and cleanliness of baptistery.
– Maintain church entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas as requested and assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as needed.
– Coordinate preventative maintenance programs for all commercial equipment (including elevators, fire extinguishers and kitchen fire hood) and ensure compliance with local codes.
– Maintain general cleaning according to schedule or as necessitated by unforeseen events.
– Manage set up and tear down needs for regular activities and special events. Ensure that all required facility/equipment needs are clean and in place as requested.
– Assist with special events, funerals or weddings as requested; particularly on weekends.
General Expectations
– Work flexible hours in order to, among other things, meet emergency requirements such as repairs. Must be able to report to the church within 20 minutes of being called in the event of an emergency.
– Must be able to climb steps and ladders, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects in excess of 50 lbs.
Qualifications
– GED or High School required; Associates degree or BS preferred.
– Four plus years of experience in maintenance and/or facility management.
– Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA requirements and regulations.
