Chinese Ministry Pastor (Mandarin-speaking) Full Time

Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church (CCBC) is seeking a full-time permanent Chinese Ministry Pastor to shepherd our Mandarin-speaking congregation and serve the whole church in partnership with the English pastor, deacons, ministry leaders, and volunteers.

CCBC is a bilingual, multi-generational Chinese Baptist church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Chinese Ministry Pastor will help lead a congregation of approximately 100 people, with responsibility for faithful biblical preaching, pastoral care, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and ministry development.

Key responsibilities:
– Preach and teach regularly in Mandarin and provide biblical leadership for the Chinese ministry.
– Shepherd members through prayer, visitation, counseling, communion, baptism, weddings, funerals, and congregational care.
– Lead or support adult Sunday school, small groups, prayer meetings, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and leader training.
– Work collaboratively with the English pastor, deacons, and other ministry leaders.
– Help strengthen fellowship, outreach, and cross-cultural ministry within the church.

Qualifications:
– A clear calling to full-time pastoral ministry and a mature, Christ-centered shepherd’s heart.
– Ability to preach and teach clearly in Mandarin and communicate effectively in English.
– Agreement with Charlotte Chinese Baptist Church’s statement of faith and constitution.
– Evangelical seminary training; an M.Div. or equivalent is preferred.
– At least three years of pastoral or ministry experience is preferred, especially in a North American Chinese church.
– Strong character, relational maturity, leadership, teamwork, and cross-cultural ministry ability.
– U.S. work authorization is preferred.
