Introduction

Chester Baptist Church (Ackerman, MS) is actively seeking a part-time music minister to lead three services a week in a mostly traditional worship style. We are seeking a candidate who can meet the qualifications set forth by the expectations for church leaders found in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5.

Music Minister

The music minister’s responsibilities will include the promotion and leading of three weekly services, consisting of a mix of traditional and contemporary song selections with the support of a pianist, organist, and members of our adult choir. This person will work with the children’s and adult choir members to enlist, encourage, and promote our services with a special Easter and Christmas song service presented each year. Assistance with church events (weddings, memorial services, and funerals) will be encouraged along with assistance with service planning (special music) each Sunday morning. The most important task of all is that the Music Minister first Love Jesus and His precious Word, love people, and minister to them through music, seek to always present a Christ-like example, and support our Pastor in building up the Kingdom of God.

Salary

Our budgeted weekly salary is $250 and is negotiable with consideration of the candidate’s education and experience.
