Worship Pastor Full Time

Overview: The worship pastor’s main and ongoing duty will be to help the church carry out its mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Performing this task will involve the worship pastor in various areas of church life. The worship pastor will work closely and collaboratively with the other pastors, helping to plan and perform church events, programs, and services.

The Worship Pastor will work under the leadership and guidance of the senior pastor. He will assist the pastor in all facets of the ministry. He shall be available to the pastor, staff, deacon body, leaders, teachers, and congregation to further the Kingdom of God.

The Worship Pastor at College Heights will have the unique opportunity to shape his role in accordance with his spiritual gifts and areas of passion, in alignment with the church’s mission and needs. While certain core responsibilities are expected, we are committed to working with the Worship Pastor to tailor his duties to best suit his giftings. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·       Actively participate in the planning and execution of church services and events. Provide leadership and support to various church ministries.

·       Share in the teaching responsibilities, with the flexibility to focus on areas where the Worship Pastor feels most called and competent.

·       Engage in pastoral care duties, including but not limited to, counseling, visiting the sick and homebound, and conducting weddings and funerals.

·       Lead and develop others in all aspects of worship, including adult music ministry, youth music ministry and children’s music ministry.

·       Prepare and plan weekly worship services as well as special worship services throughout the year.

·       Lead Bible studies.

Qualifications
·       Demonstrates a deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by humility, personal character, commitment to spiritual growth, and a love for God and others.

·       Strong leadership and effective communication skills, having strong music skills, capable of teaching.  Must have capable audio/visual experience and knowledge.
