Worship Pastor Full Time

The Worship Pastor is responsible for leading the Worship and Music ministry teams of the
church and planning the weekly program of worship. He is also responsible for coordinating
worship and music ministry teams with the multimedia and online presence efforts for the
church. Reports to Pastor of Church Operations. Responsibilities and requirements include:

 Must be ordained to the Gospel.
 Lead church and staff in accordance with church by-laws and policies.
 Manage budgets given by the finance team and periodically review spending and plans
for future events.
 Participate in regular visitation ministry.
 Direct the planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating of a comprehensive music
program.
 Supervise the work of the music ministry, volunteers and staff.
 Lead in enlisting leaders and volunteers for the music ministry.
 Work with the pastor in selecting music for all services – including weddings, funerals
and special projects.
 Coordinate the music program with the organizational calendar and emphases of the
church.
 Work with the ministerial staff on special music needs in the total church program.
 Monitor the purchasing, maintenance and replacement of all music-related equipment,
supplies and instruments.
 Maintain awareness of developing music methods, materials, promotion and
administration.
 Prepare an annual music budget for approval and administer the budget.
 Plan and coordinate congregational singing at all regularly scheduled worship services.
 Plan and arrange an “Order of Service” for worship services.
 Cooperate with associational and state leaders in promoting activities of mutual interest.
 Plan and execute changes and setup of the church for special events and worship
services.
 Assist the pastor in the overall programming of the church, aid in special projects, and
implement specific assignments by the pastor related to general pastoral activities.
 Any other duties as assigned.
