ActiveThe Dakota Baptist Convention is working to fill the position of Executive Director. We are seeking a man with a healthy, thriving personal relationship and walk with the Lord who meets the qualifications of an Elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The right candidate will hold a minimum of a master’s degree, with a Master of Divinity preferred. He will also possess a minimum of 10 years of pastoral, denominational, and/or non-profit ministry experience, wholeheartedly affirm The Baptist Faith & Message 2000, and be a current, faithful, active member of a Southern Baptist church.
The key objectives of the Executive Director will be to build and maintain relationships with the churches and pastors of the DBC and the broader SBC community, lead the DBC to strengthen existing churches and plant healthy new churches, champion the cooperative program, and develop and implement innovative funding strategies for DBC work. He will also develop and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the DBC Executive Board.
The next Executive Director of the DBC must have a willingness and eagerness to understand and adapt to an upper midwest culture, excel in verbal and written communication, and possess organizational leadership experience including financial literacy. He must be relationship, goal, and detail-oriented and demonstrate an ability to lead strategically and achieve goals in a timely manner. He must have a strong track record of faithful ministry service and organizational leadership as well as being a self-starter and team player. In short, we are looking for a strategist, collaborator, innovator, initiator, and life-long learner who is eager to join the work God is doing in and through Dakota Baptists.
