Position:         Pastor/Church Administrator

Reports to:     Elder Ministry Team

Location:        Dundee Baptist Church (DBC), Dundee, Michigan

Dundee Baptist Church (DBC) located in Dundee, Michigan, a Southern Baptist Convention affiliate, is seeking to fill the position of Pastor for a congregation of 50 regular attending members.  Our current Pastor is retiring from the pulpit after 50 plus years of serving in the pastoral ministry.  Dundee Baptist Church currently meets on a 10-acre site on the east side of Dundee, Michigan.  DBC is also affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of Michigan and the Southeastern Baptist Association.  We are currently fixed-debt free and focused on the mission of the New Testament Church. DBC currently has an Elder Board of three individuals who will be serving as the search committee for this position.

The desired candidate will have the following characteristics:

•   A born-again believer in Jesus Christ and living an exemplary life modeling the call, character, and competencies becoming of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

•   Demonstrates a servant spirit as a growing disciple of Jesus Christ.

•   Agrees with and supports the Baptist Faith and Message.

•   Displays honorable work ethics by maintaining adequate office hours to effectively administrate the ministries of the church.

•   Displays the spiritual gift of edification to this local body and the general community through preaching, teaching and pastoral ministries.

•   Proven ability to lead in planning and leading in worship, teaching, and discipleship to fulfill the Great Commission.

•   Provide effective direction and oversight of the volunteer ministry teams of the congregation.

Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Christian ministry field preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with a combination of equivalent level education and proven experience.

•   Recommended minimum of five (5) years in a proven leadership role in a local church.

Salary

•   $40,000 to $55,000 based on experience

•   Church is open to bi-vocational possibilities
