Worship & Media Pastor/Minister Full Time

Emmanuel Baptist Church in Crestview, Florida, is seeking a Worship & Media Pastor/Minister to join our team full-time. This role combines leading worship and managing our church’s media presence, including audio-visual production, social media, digital content creation, and maintaining the church’s website. We’re looking for someone who has a heart for worship, a strong musical background, and a keen eye for engaging and inspiring media. Position Summary:

The Worship Pastor/Minister is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading the worship services at EBC. This position requires a strong commitment to Jesus Christ and to serving His Church with excellence. The Worship Pastor/Minister will work collaboratively with the pastoral staff, musicians, and volunteers to create a worship experience that glorifies God and edifies the congregation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Worship Planning and Leadership:

   – Plan and lead Sunday worship services. Because EBC is a multigenerational and multi-ethnic congregation, the Worship Pastor/Minister will ensure to include:

-Contemporary Worship Music (i.e. Hillsong, Vertical, Passion, CityAlight)

-Hymns (Traditional hymns with contemporary arrangement and instrumentation)

-Black Gospel/Contemporary Fusion (i.e Maverick City, Jon Reddick, People & Songs)

   – Select and prepare music, coordinating with musicians and vocalists for rehearsals and performances.

   – Lead congregational singing and other elements of worship (e.g., prayers, scripture readings).

   – Be a capable instrumentalist should the need arise for the Pastor/Minister to lead solo.

2. Team Development and Coordination:

   – Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and worship team members.

   – Schedule and lead regular rehearsals, providing direction and support to team members.

   – Foster a sense of community and spiritual growth within the worship team.

3. Technical and Administrative Duties:

   – Coordinate with the audio-visual team to ensure high-quality sound and video production during services.

   – Manage the worship budget, including the purchase of music, equipment, and other necessary supplies.

   – Maintain and organize the church’s music library and worship resources.

   – Learn and master how we have set up Propresenter and provide guidance for improvement

   – Program Stage Light Presets 

   – Set Media Settings for Worship Songs

   – Develop Graphics for Various Ministry Needs

   – Regular Social Media Posts

   – Design and Maintain Church Website

   – Produce Various Video Elements (i.e. Baptism Testimony Videos)

4. Spiritual Leadership:

   – Model a life of worship and spiritual maturity, actively participating in the life of the church.

   – Encourage and support the spiritual growth of the worship team members and congregation.

   – Collaborate with the pastoral staff to integrate worship with the overall ministry and mission of the church.

5. Special Services and Events:

   – Plan and lead music for special services (e.g., Christmas, Easter, weddings, funerals) and church events as needed.

   – Work with other ministry leaders to support worship needs for various church programs and activities.

Qualifications:

– A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the Southern Baptist faith and message.

– Proven experience in leading worship, with the ability to sing and play a musical instrument proficiently.

– Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage volunteer teams.

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

– Familiarity with contemporary worship music and traditional hymns.

– Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.

– Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Work Schedule:

– This is a full-time position that expects the Pastor/Ministry to work at least 40 hours per week, including Sundays, rehearsals, and additional planning and preparation time.

– Additionally, regular office hours, attendance at weekly staff meetings, and special events are expected.

Compensation:

– A competitive pay package will be offered based on experience and qualifications in accordance with other churches of a similar size and situation.
