About Emmanuel Baptist Church:

Emmanuel Baptist Church (EBC) is seeking a full-time Pastor whom God has called and chosen for our church. We are a close knit, family-oriented church that averages 40-50 attendees each Sunday morning, with room for growth.  EBC has several ministries in place that benefit all age groups and serves our community through outreach programs.  Services at EBC are more contemporary in style, however we still hold fast to our traditional roots.  At EBC, God’s Word is the sole authority for all things.

The Lead Pastor’s Responsibilities Include:

· Listen to God and shepherd the flock.

· Fully understand discipleship and the disciple-making process.

· Equip God’s people for ministry.

· Serve as a representative in our community.

· Perform pastoral duties such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and coaching/counseling people in our congregation.

· Assist in yearly Vacation Bible School.

· Participation in the committees of the church.

· A pastor’s duties are not limited on what’s in writing, but what Father is calling to do at any given moment.

· Other duties as needed.

Education & Experience:

· Ministerial training and/or college degree preferred.

· Sound biblical knowledge.

· Beliefs align with the Southern Baptist Convention “Faith and Message,”2000.

· Servant-leader who exemplifies the humility of Christ.

· Personal, approachable, and possess integrity in their personal and professional life.  

· Demonstrates a desire to continuously learn and grow.

· Be able to create a fun and exciting culture that result in a positive, productive congregation.

· Understands modern culture and how to wisely use social media platforms for Kingdom purposes.

· Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) or willingness to learn.

· Ability to prioritize spiritual leadership and pastoral care for the congregation.
