Worship Leader Part Time

Excell Baptist Church is seeking the man God has called to lead us towards God’s throne in order to worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24)

The Worship and Media Leader should:

• exhibit the ability to lead with humility, grace, and excellence;
• be willing and able to join in fellowship with the church as a member;
• be an energetic individual, under the direct leadership of the Senior Pastor, planning and developing weekly services, ensuring alignment with sermon and church’s mission, and contextualize the worship experience, by selecting music, leading worship, directing a small praise band, and scheduling and leading practices; be comfortable in using technology, including worship software (e.g. Planning Center, ProPresenter, etc.), audio / visual multimedia systems;
• be able to spend approximately 15-20 hours per week, leading a mid-week practice session as well as the Sunday morning worship service.
• foster and build a worship team, and oversee special and / or seasonal presentations;
• occasionally incorporating youth and children’s singing in the service;
• be able to successfully acquire a child protection background check as required by Church policies.
• A background in music, technology and an appreciation for a blended program are desirable.
