Associate Pastor of Worship/Students Full Time

Farmville Baptist Church is a small but vibrant congregation located in the fast-growing Auburn/Opelika area, with a multitude of new homes and neighborhoods as well as Auburn University within a five-mile radius.

The Associate Pastor of Worship/Students is responsible to the Senior Pastor for assisting in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive music ministry as well as assisting in the continued development of a ministry for youth and/or college students.

As the Associate Pastor of Worship, he will lead our congregation in all aspects of the worship ministry including congregational singing, choir, ensembles, soloist, and instrumentalists from all age groups. He must be able to direct and coordinate the work of volunteers in each of these areas within the ministry. In collaboration with musicians and singers, he will create a worship experience that draws the congregation closer to God. The ability to read music is preferred but not necessarily required.

The Student Minister role is to continue development of a youth and/or college ministry. It will involve teaching, discipleship, outreach, and event planning to foster an environment in which students can grow in their faith. The ability to supervise the volunteers who assist in these activities is essential.
