Worship Leader Part Time

FBC Fairview Heights is looking for a part-time worship leader to provide leadership to our church’s music ministry and to serve as the church’s primary voice in leading our worship service. The worship leader should exhibit an understanding of a call to worship ministry and be in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message (2000). Previous experience is a plus but not required. Neither is a seminary education. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning worship services along the preaching theme of the Lead Pastor
• Scheduling volunteers for music and AV/Tech
• Recruit and develop volunteers for serving in AV/Tech and in Worship ministry
• Staff liaison for Senior Adult Choir
• Maintain the Worship Ministry budget to ensure faithful stewardship
• Connect with the church as a whole as a staff member, involvement in major church events (VBS, Trunk or Treat, etc.)

FBC Fairview Heights is a legacy church in the Illinois Baptist State Association with a 175 year history. After experiencing 20 years of decline, the church has stabilized under the current pastor. We run around 150 in worship.
