Fee Fee Kids Director Part Time

Position Description

Connecting children and families to the gospel by partnering with parents to teach kids gospel truths, facilitate transformational relationships, develop prayer-powered families, and intentionally reach the lost in Bridgeton and beyond

Reporting Relationships

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Responsible for: Supervising volunteer workers.

Works with: Pastor, NextGen Pastor, support staff

Primary Responsibilities

• Nurture an active and growing personal relationship with Jesus, seeking to become more like Him and modeling a lifestyle that reflects His love.
• Equip parents through training and support to become successful in discipling their children, believing that scripture charges parents as the primary teacher of their children.
• Equip and encourage families through training and support to become successful in facing life’s challenges, believing that scripture contains the foundation for building strong families.
• Personally, be involved in promoting the spiritual direction of the church through children’s ministry.
• Prayerfully seek, train and equip teachers and volunteers in all areas of ministry.
• Plan and coordinate all phases of the Kids’ ministry.
• Counsel children who make any decisions.
• Explore, make available and attend training options and conferences that would enhance the overall effectiveness of self and volunteers.
• Help new members connect with church relationships and ministries.
• Pray for teachers, helpers, families and the overall outreach of Fee Fee Baptist Church.
• Cooperate with associational and state leaders in promoting activities of mutual interest.
• Remain current on childhood and elementary methods, materials, promotional ideas, and administrative techniques, implementing them as appropriate.
• Set an example by maintaining daily personal Bible study and prayer.

Other

• Prepare and administer the Kids’ ministry related budget to the Stewardship committee.
• Supervise and coordinate all expenditures of the Kids’ ministry budget in accordance with policy guidelines.
• Develop and maintain guidelines for Children’s Ministry programs.
• Be responsible for overseeing the appropriate use of facilities in the children’s area.
• Maintain resources, materials, supplies and other equipment pertaining to the overall Children’s Ministry.
• Secure childcare for special events (e.g. church wide & community events).

Qualifications

• A personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrate commitment to ministry focusing on magnifying worship, promoting evangelism, and strengthening family relationships through the Kids’ ministry and other areas of the church.
• Demonstrates personal characteristics which promote cooperation and harmony among Kids’ ministry, church staff, and church members.
• Experience and/or degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education preferred, not required.
• Outgoing, self-starting, organized, having a “Heart” for children, excellent communication skills with volunteer workers, parents, grandparents and children.
• The Fee Fee Kids’ Director shall have character above reproach and personal qualifications which will tend to generate cooperation and harmony in the church.
