Job Description:
Fellowship of Montgomery, located in Montgomery, Texas, is seeking a full-time Kid’s Minister.

The candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and growing the children’s ministry by fostering relationships, creating impactful programs, training staff and volunteers, and ensuring alignment with the mission to lead children and families closer to God.

Core Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

  • Exhibit a strong heart for Jesus and passion for ministry with children, families, and volunteers.
  • Lead children and their families to follow and grow in their faith.
  • Regularly pray for children, families, and ministry volunteers.

Volunteer Recruitment and Development

  • Follow up with potential volunteers and those interested in children’s ministry.
  • Recruit, train, and appreciate volunteers, ensuring they are equipped and motivated.
  • Create systems to express gratitude to team members and celebrate their contributions.

Program Management

  • Organize and oversee events such as Vacation Bible School (VBS), camps, and day trips.
  • Provide opportunities for children to serve and share their faith.
  • Ensure all curriculum, resources, and equipment are available, functional, and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in all ministry areas.

Engagement and Communication

  • Build strong relationships with families, volunteers, and community members.
  • Promptly follow up with new guests and inquiries.
  • Provide clear and timely communication regarding events, activities, and registration details.
  • Offer resources and support for parents and families to nurture faith at home.

Administrative and Operational Duties

  • Supervise and support paid staff and volunteers, ensuring smooth operation across all areas.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and budget tracking.
  • Present and manage annual budget requests, overseeing expenditures responsibly.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the ministry and set measurable goals for growth.
  • Perform general office tasks and other assigned responsibilities with diligence.

Team Collaboration and Personal Development

  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to align with broader church initiatives.
  • Assist in other ministry tasks as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth in ministry leadership.
  • Be involved in missions and encourage participation among families and children.

Work Ethic and Professionalism

  • Demonstrate integrity by focusing on ministry-related tasks during work hours.
  • Commit to timely completion of responsibilities and uphold high standards in every aspect of work.
