Children’s Ministry Director Part Time

Job Title: Children’s Ministry Director Position Summary: This is a part-time, salaried exempt position reporting directly to the lead pastor. To oversee, develop and coordinate a comprehensive children’s evangelistic discipleship plan for kids ages birth-5th grade.  Everything will be geared toward reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt 19:14), helping them grow up into maturity into the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:13) and involving parents to help better equip them to be disciple makers in their homes (Deut 6:4-9).

Qualifications 

• Testimony of personal salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, Baptized by immersion and a growing personal walk with the Lord.
• Affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as a statement of belief and has a solid biblical foundation.
• Committed to being a disciple that makes disciples
• Loves children and has fun working with them and has a passion for reaching them with the Gospel and experience teaching spiritual truth to all ages.
• Wants to equip parents with tools to help them be involved in children’s ministry & provide opportunities to re-emphasize/apply the lesson in the home.
• Gifted in administration/communication
• Ability to train and recruit volunteers
• Willing to think outside the box and try new things and create a fun environment for kids
• Successful completion of a background check

Duties and Responsibilities

• 15-20 hours a week, attend staff meeting
• Work with the Lead Pastor to establish, communicate and implement a vision for the Children’s Ministry that is in line with the church’s vision, then oversee all aspects of this ministry.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with children and their families both within the church and in the community.
• Plan, coordinate, oversee or delegate to ensure that all children’s ministry activities and classes are set up to thrive with the correct curriculum and volunteers.
• Evaluate, select and implement curriculum materials and educational policies for the Children’s ministry.
