Seeking Bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Pastor, Full Time position.

FBC “One church two languages”. Serving English and Spanish speaking congregations, we are a growing rural church looking to bring honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, serving our community, showing the Jesus love and compassion through our ministries and service, our mission is to bring individuals, families and community to know Jesus through a bible-based worship, preaching and teaching.

Position Summary

The associate Pastor for our Hispanic group is a full-time position of First Baptist Church Belle Glade and is accountable to the church membership through overseeing of the Senior Pastor and/or Administrative Committee. He will be responsible to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership. He will be serving primarily as Pastor in the Spanish congregation preparing and delivering sermons, overseeing prayer groups, and developing programs that exemplify and encourage the congregation to learn, grow, mature and serve.

Qualifications

1.      BIBLICALLY CONSISTENT WITH TITUS 1:5-9, 1 TIMOTHY 3:1-3 with a lifestyle congruent with the Scripture qualifications and abide by the constitution & Bylaws of FBC.

2.      Required. BILINGUAL 100% SPANISH ABLE TO COMMUNICATE FLUENTLY IN ENGLISH

Availability

–          FULL TIME POSITION

Responsibilities

1.      PREPARE AND DELIVER SERMONS (mostly in Spanish, occasionally in English)

2.      PROVIDE PASTORAL LEADERSHIP (overseeing biblical teaching, worship, discipleship, evangelism, prayer groups, first time visitors)

3.      WORK WITH LEAD PASTOR (Set vision, direction, and goals aligned with the overall vision of FBC)

4.      PARTICIPATE IN ALL/REQUIRED STAFF MEETINGS

5.      WORK WITH OTHER CHURCH LEADERS TO COORDINATE CHURCH OR COMMUNITY EVENTS AND OUTREACH.

6.      ENCOURAGE AND FACILITATE MEMBERS ENGAGEMENT IN FBC.

7.      FIND CREATIVE WAYS TO IMPACT THE COMMUNITY TO DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS OUR COMMUNITY AND CREATING POTENTIAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

8.      ENCOURAGE FAMILIES THROUGH REGULAR AND CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION. (Home visitation, hospital visitation, counseling)

9.      PARENT AND FAMILY LEADERSHIP (Provide resources for parents to grow in their ability to lead and engage spiritually with their own children)

10. PROVIDE SUPPORT/COUNSELING (For couples, family, individual)

Salary

–          SUBJECT TO EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS.
