High School Pastor Full Time

At First Baptist Church of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Student Ministry is a vital part of who we are. Our Student Ministry (separate Junior High and High School ministries) has seen exciting growth over the past several years. We’re seeking the next man God has for our High School ministry. 

Our purpose is to reach people with the Gospel and to lead them to be devoted followers of Jesus Christ and we’re looking for our High School Pastor to help us fulfill our purpose. If you love leading students (9th-12th grade) to see life change happen in the context of small groups and an on-mission lifestyle and are ready to lead this type of movement, we’d love to talk with you!

About Us…

Years ago God led our church to relocate to the heart of our city and since 2017 we’ve been in our new location. God has grown our church from an average of 425 in worship to over 1,000 in under ten years.  We are situated on the east side of Baton Rouge and are surrounded by the towns of Livingston, Central, Watson, and Walker. Education and Experience Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience as a staff member in a Student Ministry leadership capacity. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical studies or related field is beneficial, but not required. (Extensive ministry experience, in some cases, can be substituted.) The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possessing a passion for teaching students about God and the ability to administrate well. We are seeking a candidate that is married. A working knowledge of creative programming related to student ministry programs and special events is a real plus.
