Student Pastor Full Time

The student pastor will be responsible for all planning and leading of activities/teaching of grades 6-12. The student pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor and other staff to provide sound, Biblical leadership to the student ministry. He will be responsible for maintaining a calendar of student related activities throughout the year to promote involvement and spiritual growth among those within the scope of this ministry. 

Duties: 

• Provide pastoral oversight to the student ministry of First Baptist Church
• Provide hands on leadership to the small group ministry by recruiting, equipping, and supporting the volunteers who serve in this role 
• Oversee all weekly youth services on Sunday and Wednesday 
• Be an active and regular presence in the schools and school events related to the students within the scope of the ministry 
• Plan, promote, and provide hands on leadership to seasonal events for spiritual growth among the student body. This includes summer camps, disciple now, and any other conferences and/or events during the year 
• Effectively use social media to keep students and parents engaged in the ministry 
• Provide active participation in weekly staff meetings and keep the staff informed on ministry goals, successes, and needs 
• Provide support and equipping to the parents of the student ministry
