Pastor Full Time

First Baptist Church of Gatesville is currently seeking to call an ordained minister who holds to Southern Baptist teaching and doctrine to lead the congregation. Our church is a missional, Bible-teaching fellowship which sincerely worships Jesus Christ. Our strategy for ministry includes being Christ-centered, Bible based, and Mission driven.

Qualifications:
Meet the qualifications for Pastor found in 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Ordained minister in the Southern Baptist denomination.
Previous pastoral experience required. Experience with church growth and the revitalization process is highly desired.
 Advanced degree from a Southern Baptist Theological Seminary preferred.
Strong leadership and administrative skills in conjunction with effective communication skills. 

    II.     Basic position responsibilities: 

Preach and teach in an exegetical/expository manner with an emphasis on a sound, unwavering commitment to the Word of God.
Encourage and actively promote fellowship.
 Support evangelism outreach.
 Coordinate with staff in planning all aspects of the worship experience.
 Promote commitment to marriage and family.
 Build relationships both within the congregation and the community.
 Engage dedication to an active prayer life.
 Facilitate effective planning and leadership.
 Manage day-to-day operations of the church organization.
