The office coordinator need not be a member of FBCG.

 

Essential Function: The Church Office Coordinator oversees the activities of the church office. The Office Coordinator provides support to church staff and the church within three areas of the church functions: Administration, Communications and Finance.  

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Location: On-Site

Hours: Full-time: M-Th 8a-4p

 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant experience. 

 

Administrative:

Utilizes customer service skills while presenting a warm reception and being the first impression of our church to office guests
Performs usual and customary office duties such as but not limited to:
Greeting visitors
Monitoring doors and discerning access permissions to facility
Maintaining a list of keycard and key holders.
Answering, screening and directing phones
Returning calls, emails
Managing mail
Maintains a staff-wide calendar and assists staff with appointments
Maintains church membership contact information, attendance, giving, weddings, deaths, baptisms, etc., via TouchPoint
Monitors and submits requests for office and custodial supplies 
Tidies up office, break room and other areas as needed
Effectively collaborates with staff on daily, weekly and yearly agendas
Serves members in accomplishing church-related tasks, specifically those for Sunday worship and small groups
Prepare documents for quarterly church business meetings
Communications:

Collaborates with staff to design promotional material for events using design software: Canva, Adobe Cloud, other
Creates and executes a content calendar for social media
Recognizes and develops social media opportunities
Utilizes church-wide texting service to send submitted messages from staff
Creates a monthly newsletter featuring upcoming church events
Updates website calendar with events, photos, copy on ChurchCenter
Financial

Upholds strictest confidentiality at all times
Manages accounts payable
Scans invoices, statements and other financial documents
Utilizes Quickbooks to reconcile accounts
Submits payroll online
Prepares member giving statements, 
Files necessary government reports
Prepares checks for disbursement 
Communicates with relevant church committees as necessary
