NEXT GENERATION PASTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

OBJECTIVE:

The Next Generation Pastor is responsible for maintaining and promoting the student and children’s ministry of First Baptist Church.

REPORTS TO:

Lead Pastor

DIRECT REPORTS:

Student Pastor Assistant, Children’s Pastor Assistant, Additional Staff as Assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct activities, which help young people to understand biblical principles as it relates
 to their personal relationship to the Lord, by leading the students on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings in worship and training as well as fun and fellowship. 
2. Prepare a budget recommendation for the student and children’s programs on an annual basis for review by the budget committee and church approval, and abide by the budget.
3. Preach and teach as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
4. General pastoral care along with other staff.
5. Lead and Equip ministry teams in the following areas:FBCMH Students, FBCMH Children
6. Develop a ministry calendar with a variety of age-appropriate activities, both within and outside the church, that will attract students and children to the church and hold their interest.
7. Promote student and children’s ministry to the church and community utilizing the church bulletin, social media, church website, and by attending school and community events.
