Minister of Worship Full Time

Principal Function:
Shepherding the people of FBCMW through planning and leading gatherings of the church and discipling musicians and worship leaders to live out our mission of making disciples.

·       The individual is to be a man of God who has ordered his life in compliance with teaching of Scripture and the example of our Lord.  He is to be an example to the believers in personal godliness and to exemplify scriptural requirements for a pastor.
·       A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music/worship; Masters degree preferred
·       Well versed and comfortable with both traditional and modern worship styles, including choirs, bands, and orchestra.
·       Computer literate, familiar with music/worship programs
·       Media literate and able to work with the Media/Tech Director in using technology to enhance worship
·       Organized, manage several ongoing tasks, possessing good people skills, self-motivated, able to work well individually and in group
·       Adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000

·     Work with the Pastor in planning and leading corporate, Scripture-saturated, gospel-centered worship
·     Identify, recruit, and develop men and women who are gifted to lead worship, discipling them both in character and competency to prepare them to serve the local church
·     Build a team culture and expectation of musicians and leaders who exemplify healthy church membership
·     Schedule and lead rehearsals in preparation for worship gatherings
·     Utilize Planning Center to accommodate all music needs for FBCMW gatherings
·     Organizing and managing personnel, resources, and facilities for the Worship Ministry
·     Oversee maintenance of and additions to Music Library including new acquisitions
·     Oversee the use and care of musical instruments and media equipment including making                recommendations regarding acquisition, disposal, and maintenance.
·       Provide counsel for and coordinate musicians for funerals and weddings (upon request)
·       Oversee the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and its Administrative Director
·       Assist PAC Administrative Director with organizational development including recruitment of teachers and students
·      Work with Deacons and Committees as needed
·       Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor
