Baptist Church near Charlotte, NC seeks Pastor: First Baptist Church of Cornelius located in Cornelius/Lake Norman area of North Carolina is prayerfully seeking a Pastor to shepherd our congregation as we move forward to a new chapter at FBCC. Having just celebrated 120 years of serving our Lord in the community, we request a Pastor who is always seeking out opportunities to help the local community by organizing food bank drives, hosting fundraisers and leading community projects. We are looking for a Pastor who will lead and teach prayerfully and compassionately, is rooted in the true, living and inspired Word of God, and follows closely with “The Baptist Faith & Message 2000”.

Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing a sermon for Sunday worship service and other special services (i.e.: Christmas, Easter, etc.), leading bible study on Wednesdays, leading the ordinances of The Lord’s Supper and baptisms, facilitating weddings and funerals, arranging pastoral visitations to sick and homebound as well as others that request a visit, and supporting operations and planning in collaboration with the church council/leadership/deacons. Church council meetings & quarterly business meetings are required. Fill in for the moderator should the moderator be unable to attend said meetings. Have regular office hours with an open-door policy for church members and non-members alike. We have seen God at work at FBCC and joining Him in all endeavors, we would welcome a Pastor intent on growing the congregation.

Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Education: Seminary Grad School – master’s degree (preferred) Bachelors of Theology/Christian Ministries (Required)

Experience: Ministry 5-10 years of in person preaching and being a lead Pastor
