Associate Pastor of Students and Discipleship

Overview:   This position is full-time and reports directly to the Senior Pastor.  The primary responsibility of the Associate Pastor will be focusing on students in 6th-12th Grade for approximately 20-25 hours. The other 15-20 hours of work will be focused on discipleship and will focus on the giftings of the individual who is applying for the job. (This might entail, small groups, local and global missions, family, congregational care, etc.)
 
Qualifications:
1.  A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.

2. A clear expressed call from God to pastor in the local church.
3. Completed bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience.
4. Commitment to the vision of FBC Eastland.

Compensation: DOE

Responsibilities: 
Associate / Students (20-25 Hours)

• Understand, communicate, and implement a strategic vision for making, growing, and unleashing disciples within the student ministry.
• Identify, recruit, and equip volunteer leaders for student ministry.
• Plan and implement a strategic schedule of purposeful student activities that combine to grow and unleash students to reach others for Christ.
• Communicate with, and minister to parents and others who influence students.
• Communicate with the Senior Pastor concerning student activities, goals, and the vision of the student ministry

Associate / Discipleship (15-20 Hours).

• Preach on Sunday mornings around 8-10 times per year
• Oversee our Sunday morning Connections Ministry by creating a pathway that guides people from guests to attendees, and full engagement within the life of FBC Eastland.
• Fulfill Associate Discipleship responsibilities based on spiritual gifts, ministry needs, and passions.
• Fulfill other duties assigned by the Senior Pastor.
