About FBC and Ellijay: Ellijay is small and maintains a close community. Gilmer County has a few elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school which has around 1200 students. It also has a private Christian academy and a thriving homeschool community, and we have students from all of these environments as part of our ministry. FBC holds events and maintains a visible presence in the community. As a church, we are in the process of transitioning to be Elder-led. FBC Ellijay, due to its location in the heart of downtown, has a vast opportunity to spread the love and gospel of Jesus.
