Job Description:

Madison First Baptist Church is a healthy, multi-generational church located in Madison, Florida. We are in search of a full-time youth pastor. We have a well-established youth group that includes 6th grade to early college students. Our church is looking for someone who is dedicated to helping young people and their families develop a Christ-driven focus. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to build life-changing relationships.

We desire that our youth grow into young adulthood eager and willing to live “Kingdom of God Culture” rather than “Kingdom of world Culture”.

We desire that they not only become students of The Word but press on to be teachers of The Word, able to rightly interpret and share The Word.

Responsibilities:

-Teach, organize and oversee the Sunday morning programs for the youth

-Teach, organize and oversee the Wednesday night programs for the youth

-Oversee the recruitment and supervision of middle and high school adult leaders

-Build dynamic relationships with students and adult leaders

-Coordinate and attend summer youth camp

-Develop mission opportunities for the youth in conjunction with the church’s Missions committee.

-Coordinate the youth mission opportunities

Knowledge & Skills:

-Know the Bible and demonstrate skills in teaching and living it

-Passionate about youth ministry

-Have an understanding of the challenges facing students and parents

-Be a student of scripture

-Excellent communication skills

-Competency with computers, music, and video equipment

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree

-Youth ministry experience preferred

-Applicant must be able to provide a sample of teaching
