Associate Pastor of Worship and Students Full Time

Position: Full-Time Pastor of Students and Music
 
Description:
            The role of Full-Time Pastor of Student and Music will be to oversee the growth of the students and their parents, and work with the music ministry of the church. They will work in tandem with the Family Ministry Team to plan student ministry events and to provide resources for family discipleship. Their roles will also be to oversee the worship ministry in the church. They will report to the Lead Pastor and work with the Personnel Committee to promote unity and growth for the FBC congregation.
 
Responsibilities:
            Students
·      Will work with the rest of the staff and the Family Ministry Team (FMT) to plan a calendar for the FBC Student Ministry
·      With assistance of staff and FMT to see that all events are well thought out and executed well
·      Ensure all of events, small groups, and other activities are founded on one of the three goals of FBC Manchester: Belong, Believe, Become
·      Make sure students are encouraged and provided opportunities to grow closer to God
·      Oversee Sunday School classes, weekday time for small groups, events, and any other student ministry activity
·      Find ways to connect to the families both in and outside of FBC Manchester to bring hope, peace, and love to the area
·      Be a mandated reporter to either the Head of Deacons or Lead Pastor upon suspicion of any abuse (physical, sexual, verbal, or any other action that may occur with the students who attend FBC Manchester)
·      Grow connections between local schools and FBC Manchester
 
          Worship
·      Work with the church in the continual moving forward in the worship ministry
·      Oversee continual move to a more modern service as we move into our newly renovated Worship Center
·      Manage the integration of technology into services by overseeing and training up new members of the Audio/Visual Team
·      Connect with the Music Team about how to incorporate different aspects of music into the service (i.e. different musicians, praise teams, choir, soloists, etc.)
 
         Other Duties
·      Pray for the students, their parents, other staff members, and our community daily
·      Willing to preach and speak when called upon
·      Look to find ways for families to serve together
·      Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements:
·      An active follower of Jesus Christ
·      A heart for students and missions
·      Ability to work with multiple generations
·      Self-motivated
·      Able to manage volunteers
  
Preferred:
·      Experience in parachurch ministries
·      High level of previous community involvement
·      Willingness to serve in other areas
·      High energy and cutting edge in relating to students
·      Relational with all people
·      Prayer warrior
 
 
Pay will be based on experience, skill, and education.
 
Housing may be available should the employee need it.
