Full Time Pastor Full Time

First Baptist Church Merryville is looking for a full time pastor. Merryville, Louisiana is a small town just a few miles from the Texas line, about an hour north of Lake Charles and about a half an hour south of Toledo Bend. We’re a happy, welcoming church whose pastor of 23 years has retired. We still like to worship with a choir and hymns.  We have great Sunday school teachers, team kid on Sunday nights for about 30 elementary kids, and usually around a dozen teenagers on youth night. We average around 80 on Sunday mornings and we’ve been growing despite not having a preacher. We trust in the saving power of God’s word and the movement of the spirit when we truly rely on it to aid us in spreading the true gospel of Christ, and that God gives all an opportunity for Salvation.
