Job Title: Volunteer Coordinator – Children’s Ministry
Location: First Baptist Church of Pensacola
Reports to: Director of Preschool Ministry/Director of Children’s Ministry

Position Overview:
First Baptist Church of Pensacola is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to support our Children’s Ministry. This role plays a vital part in creating a loving, safe, and Christ-centered environment for children by ensuring our Sunday morning and Wednesday night programming is fully staffed with passionate and equipped volunteers from babies all the way through 5th grade.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruit Volunteers
Actively seek and invite church members to serve in the Children’s Ministry, aligning opportunities with their gifts and availability.Schedule Volunteers
Maintain a consistent volunteer schedule for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, ensuring all roles are filled and volunteers are communicated with in a timely manner.
Volunteer Communication:
Send regular updates, reminders, and encouragement to volunteers. Ensure all scheduling changes are managed effectively and that volunteers feel supported.
Maintain Records:
Keep accurate records of volunteer availability, contact information, roles, and service dates.
Collaborate with Ministry Staff:
Work closely with the Children’s Ministry Directors to understand weekly programming needs and coordinate coverage accordingly.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
The ability to relate well to volunteers and build positive relationships.
A proactive and dependable work ethic.
Previous experience in volunteer coordination or church ministry (preferred, not required).
