Senior Pastor Full Time

The pastor of FBC Samson is the spiritual leader of the church. We believe that Jesus Christ is our
Shepherd and the pastor is the under-shepherd. The primacy role of the pastor is to
lead this body of believers into a functioning New Testament, visionary church.

Qualifications
The qualifications of a pastor are outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-3.
Additionally, the pastor shall possess such training and experience as the church
deems appropriate. Pastor must also adhere to The BFM 2000

Duties
As stated, the pastor is to be the spiritual leader of the church. Additionally, he
shall function as the chief executive officer of the church as well as the ex-officio
head of all departments, committees and ministry teams. He shall also be the
moderator of all business meetings except as provided hereafter. In general, the
pastor shall:

a) Lead the church in the achievement of its mission and purpose,
b) Proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers
c) Care for the church members and other persons in the community;
d) Administer ordinances.
