Seeking Senior Pastor Full Time

Position: Full Time Senior Pastor Our congregation is looking for a Senior Pastor who is affiliated with Southern Baptist membership and beliefs in The Baptist Faith & Message.  Who will emphasize building relationships in which people are connected and care for one another, who leads through Evangelism and showing Jesus through words and action, Scripture, strengthening families, and led by faith.   His personality traits and lifestyle will exhibit loving and affectionate nature, humility and compassion.  His skills and abilities will be strong Leadership, Developing lay leaders and volunteers with the Church and an excellent speaking skills and Preaching from God’s Word. Job Summary: The Senior Pastor is one who is gifted and is called to church ministry, loves people, and has a passion for evangelism, outreach, and missions both personally and at the ministry level.  He has a passion for the Word of God and desires to proclaim the Word of God with conviction and confidence always moving the congregation towards spiritual growth.  He is missions-minded and will lead the congregation to serve both locally and globally.  The Senior Pastor is one who casts a vision for the ministries under his direction.  He lives out the Great Commission by sharing the gospel bodily from the pulpit, by being in the community, and through one-on-one love relationships. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferable from a Christian college or Seminary that is aligned with evangelical doctrine, with a emphasis in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Discipleship, Education or Church Leadership. We would prefer a minimum of 3 years of pastoral experience as a Associate or Youth or Senior Pastor. Expectations: The Senior Pastor will be the overseer of the Church.  His duties shall be to: Preach the Gospel Lead and equip the congregation, the deacons, the church council and committees, and church staff to perform their tasks of engaging in worship, witness, and ministry. Proclaim the Gospel to believers and unbelievers Encourage family worship and Bible study Promote missions and afford opportunity for contributions About: First Baptist Church of Versailles, Missouri was organized on January 13, 1868.
