Senior Pastor Part Time

Position available Lead Pastor, Southern Baptist Church West Point. CA First Baptist Church of West Point (FBCWP) is searching for a bi-vocational or part-time Lead Pastor to shepherd a smaller congregation. Sunday morning worship averages 15-19 adults, Sunday morning Bible study averages 11-12, And the mid-week Bible study averages 11-12. Our desire is to reach the surrounding community with the love of the gospel as we attend different community events and patronize local retailers. We intend to re-start a children’s Program and/or after school activities in the near future. The position requires the following minimum qualifications:

• A Bible believing, God-fearing man desiring to minister to a smaller community;
• A belief in and support of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC);
• An ordained or willing to be ordained a Southern Baptist pastor with an evangelistic spirit;
• One who possesses the spiritual gifts of Shepherding and Teaching;
• A willingness to re-locate to within a reasonable driving distance of the church location;
• A man who meets the requirements listed in l Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:7-9;
• Maintains an ongoing daily quiet time filled with scripture and God’s Holy Spirt;
• ls found to be above reproach while striving to imitate Jesus.

Additional desired qualifications:

• Four-year college degree (or higher);
• Prior pastoral experience;
• Management experience;
• A vision for the future of FBCWP;
• Computer savvy.
• Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):
• To teach and preach every week at regularly scheduled services;
• To abide by and enforce the By-Laws of FBCWP;
• To counsel and encourage congregants;
• To lead the lost onto a path that reveals salvation through Christ;

Compensation: Monthly compensation (total package) is $30.000 annually or $2.500 monthly; Vacation time is negotiable; Sick time (as a part-time employee) is negotiable.
