Provides resources for preschool ministry.
Job Classification
Full time, salaried at 40 hours per week (exempt)
Principal Function:
Work closely with members and staff to support the vision of FBCO in developing and leading children’s programming to reach each child on their level.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with parents and other staff in the formulation of a family discipleship strategy for children, and parents (or guardians)
2. Fulfill certain pastoral care staff responsibilities including hospital visits, meetings, and other ministry opportunities
3. Growth – a goal to see every child actively growing in their faith.
4. Evangelism – Share the love of Jesus with the children of our church and community.
6. To make decisions on the most effective programs to impact our children.
9. Exhibit and foster a positive and cooperative attitude and team spirit
10. To encourage and motivate the children in a growing commitment and connection to the body of Christ and an expanding contribution to the mission of Christ. FBCO is a multi-generational church that wants to impact the world!
11. To annually develop and oversee the children’s ministry budget so it effectively and wisely utilizes church resources and maximizes ministry opportunity.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree, postgraduate preferred
2. 3-5 years experiencing or assistant leading in a large church setting
3. Ability to listen effectively and to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form
4. Strong people skills
5. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities
6. Must pass pre-employment comprehensive and sexual misconduct background check
Pastoral Duties
1. Participate regularly in weekend worship programs
2. Perform baptisms, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and counseling as necessary
3. Serve in outreach events and within other ministries as part of the FBCO pastoral team
