Full-time Senior Pastor Full Time

First Baptist Church of Pikeville, KY is seeking to fill the position of full-time senior pastor.  The pastor will be responsible for leading the church in functioning as a New Testament church.  He must meet the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and will be responsible for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the Bible, engaging in pastoral care ministries, and providing oversight of all areas of church life and the ministerial staff, among other duties.  He will help lead our church to understand, embrace, and accomplish our mission to make disciples who make disciples.

Pikeville is a small town in the hills of eastern Kentucky in the heart of Appalachia.  In 1904, with the help of the Kentucky Baptist Convention, First Baptist Church was planted in downtown Pikeville with a mission to reach our community and our region for Christ.  Today, FBC continues to live out that mission by standing as a strong gospel witness in our region.

Average worship attendance:  250-300
